What the 2025–26 NDIS price guide changes mean for participants
The NDIA has updated the Support Catalogue for 2025–26. Here's a plain-language breakdown of the key changes and what they mean for your plan.
The NDIA released updated pricing arrangements for 2025–26 in late 2025. If you have an active NDIS plan, some of these changes may affect your funding and how it’s used. Here’s what you need to know.
What changed?
The main changes in the 2025–26 Support Catalogue include:
- Support worker hourly rates have been updated across most registration groups. In most cases, rates have increased modestly in line with the Fair Work wage decision.
- Capacity Building supports — including Support Coordination — have had their pricing structures clarified. The line items available under each budget category are now more clearly defined.
- Assistive Technology pricing has been reviewed, with some categories seeing reductions as the market matures and supply improves.
- Transport funding rules have been updated to better reflect real-world costs, particularly for participants in outer suburban and regional areas.
Does this affect my plan?
If your plan was approved before the price guide change, your approved funding amounts don’t automatically change. However, the hourly rates your providers can charge may shift — which means your funding could stretch further or less far depending on the supports you use.
The key things to check:
- Are your service agreements up to date? Providers are required to update service agreements when pricing changes. Ask your support coordinator or provider to confirm.
- Are you getting close to running out of funding? If rates have increased and you have fixed plan funding, you may hit your budget sooner. Flag this with your support coordinator early.
- Are there new supports available to you? Some participants find that clarified catalogue items open up access to supports they couldn’t previously claim.
What should I do?
If you’re unsure how the changes affect you, the best first step is to speak with your Support Coordinator. If you don’t currently have one, or you’re not sure what’s in your plan, reach out to us — we’re happy to help you review your situation.
